Who Put This Fork Here?!?!

In follow up to my last post...BAD DECISIONS!...I'm here today kids to inform you about the dangers of decision making. First let me start off by saying I am no stranger to the bad decision making vice, I've made plenty! If only that damned fork had REALLY been in the road perhaps I'd have turned around all together. Some decisions are no-brainers... "should I lock my doors at night?" "should I drink this whole bottle of tequila at 6am in the morning?" (answer key: 1-yes! 2-no!). Other decisions such as "what should I do with the rest of my life"...not so easy! I hate making decisions but I make them and go with them and if I find they are wrong, oh well too late, deal with it and move on.
I find that people nowadays tend to make decisions too rapidly without really considering the consequences...they see it, it looks better than what they have now, so gimme gimme and they'll deal with whatever happens later. The information age...where everything that you dream of can be at your fingertips in a nanosecond or at least at 56Kbps! What happened to rationale?! We are such fickle people! Our minds change every day back and forth how can we possibly make core decisions that will undoubtedly affect the course of our entire lives in a heartbeat? Some can do it and do it brilliantly...others (like i sometimes tend to do) make decisions on the basis of emotion. This is not a good way to make a decision because emotions change on a daily basis! Let me create a scenario...Jeeves and Gertrude are friends, Gertrude is the bad decision maker Jeeves is merely the friend...
Gertrude - "*sigh* Jeeves I hate my job"
Jeeves - "Didn't you just start working at the pizzeria today?"
Gertrude - "Yes and I hate it already...all that dough...the flour gets all over my clothes!"
Jeeves - "But when we made pizza at your grandma's house you loved it! You said to me 'Jeeves, I finally realized what I want to do with the rest of my life! I want to toss dough around make the most amazing pizza's on the planet!'"
Gertrude - "Well I saw this ad on tv today for rocket scientists..."
Jeeves - "Oh no."
Gertrude - "They're recruiting..."
Jeeves - "They recruit??"
Gertrude - "Shutup. But I realized how awesome that would be...can you imagine me walking into a party and people asking me what I do and me saying 'well i'm a rocket scientist'...how cool would that be!"
Jeeves - "You flunked math!"
Gertrude - "What are you Debby Downer!? Shutup! I love rockets...remember I always used to shoot off bottle rockets in the backyard all the time! I could do it."
Jeeves - "Okay whatever."
Gertrude - "Okay that's it...I'm quitting! **beep beep boop beeep beep boop** Hello, pizza? Yes this is Gertrude Schmertrude...yes I QUIT! HA! I'm becoming a rocket scientist!! BYE! *clik**"

This is a clear example of poor decision making. Emotions are fickle. People are fickle. Our minds change back and forth. I'm trying my best to curb my rash decision making, or just decisions that are CLEARLY BAD and not going with them. Whatever..I'm tired.
